ROLE: UX/UI DESIGN, PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT
DELIVERABLE: RESPONSIVE WEBSITE
DATE: MAY 2017
We were in charge of the production of the new corporate website of the TV-CM, PR, VTR planning and production company NIBAN-KOBO PRODUCTIONS CORP.

BRIEF
Presentation of NIBAN’s work and speciality
NIBAN is a tokyo based TV-CM, PR, VTR planning and production company. We observed their previous corporate website and we noticed that the architecture of the information and UX were unclear and it was difficult to understand what NIBAN’s speciality was. We took charge of the renewal of their website to solve those problems and make value for recruitment communication and business PR.

APPROACH
A simple and user-friendly website
Firstly, we reconstructed the sitemap and contents structure. To clearly guide the user, we made the UX and UI to be as simple as possible. We also made a WORKS page which is one of the most important pages for a video production company. It must be easy to search by category and each project page should introduce everyone involved with the function to jump to their profile page.

ART DIRECTION
Focusing on the video content
The minimalist and black&white UI allows the videos to look like the main content. To make it easy for the users to understand this company produces video, we focused on the videos as main visual elements.

TECHNOLOGY
Animation details made with pjax
The animations made with pjax makes smooth page transitions and smooth scrolling. We paid close attention to animations such as clickable elements and apparitions to create a sophisticated feeling for users. On the home page, six different video clips are randomly loaded into the hero image area so the users see a different sequence everytime they visit the website.
