CASE STUDY OF

TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA + TYD
WEBSITE

ROLE: UX/UI DESIGN, PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT

DELIVERABLE: RESPONSIVE WEBSITE, E-commerce

DATE: FEB 2019

We created the Web site and the E-commerce for TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA + TYD

BRIEF

Easily Understandable Design in its Simplest Form

Tokujin Yoshioka creates nature themed works that are poetic, and gives figure to various human senses using non-material elements such as light. He creates unique expressions that transcend the concept of shape. In order to deliver those works clearly to the website's visitors, we aimed for a design that is simple and clear at its base but gives room for all the details.

DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

Enhancing the Ambience of the Works

Based on a simple design, we pursued to further enhance the ambience of the works through animations. In order to adapt the website to the temporal senses which flow throughout Tokujin Yoshioka's works, we tested the flickering and movements of factors as well as the easing functions and the time elapsed in each action. Furthermore, we were particular about a flexible margin design so that the pictures can showcase the work in any window size and photo shape or format.
